I am not here to spread rumor or give false hope...but I came across this article in WSJ. It says that the USCIS may allow some earlier July filer....I don't have an account so I cannot read the whole article.

Guys, this is another great reason of why to change your mind and ATTEND THE RALLY! Let's force CNN to put us on their screens and laugh in Lou Dobbs' face! We can at least reply to his lies in a forceful yet peaceful and educated way (something he isn't!)
One thing I don't understand is how come this guy used the words bastard, communist china(all the time),cheap labor for computer programmers and he is so full of himself. Why does he have problem if US borrows flights from russia to transport vehicle?
Guess this guy needs serious help and be instutionalized for a very long time.

This is not good statement.
He admitted that he did mistake.. I was just not happy by creating new thred. But I don't think we should use these kinda of words..

Just out of curiosity, what kind of jobs do you guys do? What is your educational qualification? I am getting my PhD but it is still some time before I finish, I want to know if there is any way to port from EB2 to EB1 before that.

I looking for porting my approved EB3 labor and 140 to EB2. Here are my details:
My qualification: Diploma in electronics and communication Engg in India
(3 years diploma after 10th)
Years of experience: Since 1991 in IT (About 20 YRs)
Green card process: EB3 Approved labor and 140.
Situation: When I contacted one of the university in USA they informed me that I can
do the Masters instead of BS online degree.
My question1: Will I be eligible to file my EB2 if I do Masters without doing BS?
My question 2: Is MS from International Technological University (http://www.ITU.EDU) is accepted bu USCIS for Immigration purpose?

I have decided to go for the SB-600 rather than the 800 because I don't think I need the extra functions at this point. It will save on $$$ and weight too.

You also have faster recharge since the flash is slightly less powerful but perfectly adequate... I was going to get an SB-800 but ended up with two SB-600s for now for the same price.
I will likely get one SB-800 (and maybe another SB-600) when I get my D2x so that I have commander mode available.
the two SB-600s I have have been great for the month I've had them - if your only body is a D70 you're golden - you can use the sb-5B-600 on remote and use the built in D70 flash as commander.

My checks cashed on 10/2, I was able to get the receipt numbers from back of the check. Lawyer/myself did not receive any physical notice. I opened a SR last week and waiting.... :(

Please share if you have any progress on your SR or receiving the receipts. I am trying to call USCIS to check the status on the SR, but could not reach them. Now they have a dummy menu system, which keeps on looping when you select the option for receipts not received.

Hi,
I applied I-140 using substituted labor(13th July 2007, receipt no yet to come) on future employment basis ..
Since, USCIS has allowed filing for I-485, I wanted to file my I485, with my future employer but he is not ready to file I485 until I come to his payroll.
I need your valuable suggestions to make my decision, my questions are:
1. If I want to join on his payroll, I have to leave my existing company/Client, so that I485 can be filed ... Should I agree for this? what's your opinion???

I have a close friend who has floated a company to pursue an entrepreneurial dream.
My husband is currently working in US and has filed for GC (140 approved status). I have an EAD and am working in a company very close to where I am staying.
My friend has requested me to help market clients for the product that they are developing.. Is it ok for me to approach companies, as a representative of my friend's company and try selling the product(strictly non-compensational)? Or will there be legal hassles in doing this? Please enlighten me with your thoughts..

Since you are on EAD, and I presume you are the dependent applicant, there is no limit on the number of jobs that you can have....Definitely there is no legal hassle...and I wonder why you want to just volunteer? If its fear of legal implication then, change your mind and get paid !!! :)

As a returning H1B employee you are eligible for emergency appt. Eventhough you don't see vacant spots, you should keep logging frequently to grab cancellations(vacant) appts.
FYI: I just browsed and saw many appts available for the month of April for WORKING IN THE USA OPTION.

Last November I quit my job in the US and left the country as well. Two days ago, I received an email saying my 485 is approved, and card production was ordered. The card will go to an address in the US where someone can forward me the mail.
What should I do? Try to enter the U.S. with the card? What to say to POE officials? WIll I be questioned?

Are you just trying to get people to click somewhere so that it generates ads revenue for you. The links you provided only open up windows that shows ads. I think you are a thug because don't have correct profile here, at the same time you are using some other webiste to track your GC to generate revenue for someone else, and now you are trying to lure people to visit that site. Can someone pl clarify whether a "new company" can get a H1 extension for 3years based on an approved I-140 from "current company" (after 6 years completed on H1).
It is clear that "current company" can get H1 extension for 3years based on an approved I-140 and a "new company" can transfer it, but is it possible for "new company” to get a 3 year H1 based on approved I-140?
If yes, does the “new company" have to wait for H1 quota OR it doesn't come under H1 Quota?
